JV Coach

Troy, 26, is in his second year as JV coach after serving as a volunteer assistant at Corona for two years. He has been coaching basketball for 10 years.  Five of those years were at Saguaro High School in Scottsdale before coming to Corona four years ago.  Troy graduated from ASU and Arcadia High School. He is the Area Director for Young Life for Tempe. He and his wife Kelly and have a 2-year-old son, Garrison

Freshman Coach

Matt Strom

Coach Strom is in his tenth year of high school basketball coaching and his second year as Corona's freshman coach.  He was the freshmen basketball coach at Mesquite High School and later bacame the head varsity boy's basketball coach at Basha High School. Coach Strom comes from a long line of basketball coaches.  Both his grandfather and father coached varsity basketball in Iowa and his brother is currently the varsity girl’s basketball coach at Corona.  Coach Strom has been married to his wife, Marcia (an Arizona State graduate), for nine years.  They have three sons:  Zavian (6), Quentin (4) and Elijah (3).  Coach Strom received his bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Education from Arizona State, his master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona and is currently pursuing his doctorate in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona.  He looks forward to great year working with Corona's student-athletes..
